User Data Deletion Instructions

You are in control of your information on MealMama. This page explains how to permanently delete your account and associated personal data, either through the in-app flow or by submitting a manual request.

1. Delete Your Account in the App

Account deletion is available to every user directly within MealMama. Follow these steps while signed in:

  1. Sign in at https://www.mealmama.store/auth/login.
  2. Navigate to your account dashboard by selecting Account from the main navigation or visiting https://www.mealmama.store/account.
  3. Scroll to the Account Management section and choose Delete Account.
  4. Review what will be removed, click Continue, and type DELETE exactly as shown to confirm.
  5. Select Delete My Account. The process is immediate and you will be signed out once your records and subscription are removed.

The deletion flow automatically cancels any active subscriptions, removes your recipes, inventory, shopping lists, meal plans, scanned receipts, and profile details, and deletes the underlying Supabase Auth account.

2. Export Your Data Before Deletion

If you would like a copy of your data before deleting your account, use the Export My Dataoption on the same account page. MealMama will generate a JSON file containing your profile, inventory, recipes, meal plans, and shopping history.

3. Request Deletion by Email

If you are unable to sign in or encounter an error while using the in-app flow, you can request deletion by contacting our support team. Include the following details so we can verify ownership of the account:

  • Your full name and the email address associated with the MealMama account.
  • The request type (for example, "Delete my MealMama account").
  • Optional: Any screenshots of the issue you are experiencing.

Send your request to [email protected]. We will reply within 72 hours to confirm the request and complete deletion within 30 days, subject to applicable legal requirements.

4. After Deletion

Once your account is deleted, access to MealMama will be removed and the associated data cannot be restored. If you return later, you will need to create a new account. Aggregated, de-identified analytics data may be retained for service improvement but it will no longer be linked to you personally.
